Well, my problem in the Deven-7 emp-tel turns out to be a real gamestopper. It’s really weird, cause I don’t remember it from my first playthrough on my XP computer. I’ve posted my problem in the Technical forum.

I’ve made a slight progress - haven’t dropped the fruit still though, but at least I got rid of the mother, and called the photographer. I’ve never suspected this emp-tel is going to be even harder than previous one Shifty Eyed It’s probably the hardest “single scene” in the history of adventure

Diego, if you need a hint, just holler.

I know I need to ehh… “fantasize” Yum from the book which I’ve got, but there’re many more steps to do before that Mini Frown  I did set lights/water and used “bloom” option on a bud, got rid of the sheeplant… but I was dispelled from the emp-tel and lost my nerve. Will try later and see how it goes with the photographer.

I did post a suggestion to your problem Fien, if you know how to get the hard disk out of the computer.

My absolutely wonderful computer friend solved my problem with Deven’s Emp-Tel.  It took him a couple of hours. Heart Eyes  Heart

The game is now installed on my Win7 machine, complete with all my saves and the Team screen looks the way it is supposed to look. Oh Happy Dance!  Cool  Smile

Who is Deven? Or where is he (or she?) in the bar? I can’t find him (or her?) nowhere! If it matters, its 18:66 in the Bar and I have finished Click’s Emp Tel (and Fleebix/Thud’s, Seedroot’s and Soldier’s). Do I have to actually do something to make him appear?

Sefir, you don’t have to do anything. Deven appears at some point, together with two other Sraffans. If you have that much time left before the theme bar opens, you should play Cilia and/or the robot. But Deven is more important for your health, so play him as soon as he is available.

And Win7 makes the game crash randomly. Frown The panning is annoyingly fast too.

Oh well… I now have my saves secure, so I can install the game on my XP machine, which is probably what I should have done from the start. I figured Win98 would be better and the game did behave beautifully, except for that little font gamestopper.

Hehe, yes…We windows 7 owners should have warned you…Although, I’ve played like this so far and I got used to it. It was a little bit tricky to escape the policeman in Click’s Enp-Tel (I exercized my reflexes and mouse accuracy to the best), but in general, it is still playable. I think that this happens sometimes when a computer is too fast for a game, but I’m not sure…

Do you also have random crashes, Sefir?

Not even once! Is it possible that there are different versions of TSB or different issues occur due to other factors (for example graphic cards, drivers, etc)?

I spent the last hour trying to catch Cilia during a break. I waited. I went away and came back. I waited some more. I consulted a walkthrough, which said she was available around 19:30. Not for me she wasn’t. I restored previous saves. Still nothing. I also had about ten random crashes in the past hour. And I can’t get used to the terribly fast panning under Win7, which is making me feel nauseous. I really don’t want to restart the game from scratch. I’ll try again in a couple of days, but right now I’ve had my fill of the Space Bar.

There’s an app called CPUKiller (free) that works very well for me for recalcitrant games in XP that are running too fast.  You tell it what per cent to slow down the game and you can save your choices.  It should work in Win7 also.  It’s worth a try and may stop the crashes as well.

I don’t have the time right now for such a finnicky game, though I used to sometimes have more fun solving a game’s problems than the actual game itself, but I’m enjoying the pictures and discriptions you all are posting and hope you don’t stop.

I went in front of the band and waited for their break until 19:40. Nothing happened. I re-loaded. I went again in front of the band and waited until 19:29. I left (19:30) and came back again (19:31). This time, Cilia went down the stage and I was able to talk to her.

I really want to play and finish this one but I wanna do it properly and without looking at the solution all the time and for that I need all the time of the world which I lack at the moment, as the game is very demanding (but rightly so!).

Don’t leave us Fien! Your little buds need you!
